So, last night, I pulled myself away from editing, and decided to make dinner. I LOVE to cook, and was quickly pulled into the familiar kitchen dance of chopping, tasting, sauteing and shakin' these hips to some jazz. Of course the light was gorgeous, of course I grabbed my camera, and of course I failed to turn work (all the way) off. Then, I had an Ah Ha! moment: I'm doing it, I'm doing it all...right now! The free time, the work, the love...all of it. Each of these things are here, waiting for me to pump the breaks and enjoy them...like a good 'Lyndsey pile'. Thank you mama and gama for inspiring me to stop and give my soul a big fat squeeze. I love you both so!
My heart grew two size's the day...
Nicholas Alan was born! On May 20th this little sweetheart arrived giving his mother, my dearest friend Jessica, a reason to finally become a morning person (I had been trying for years to get her to come to the dark side)! Nick is a mother's dream: he smiles more often than not, he loves to chatter away and at five months old he has become quite a heartbreaker as we all adore the hell out of him. On a personal note, going through the wonders of pregnancy and birth outside of my nanny job description was far more incredible than I could ever imagine. It is an honor to be able to participate in any family's triumphs, but Jessica’s have always been shared as through they were my own. So as we watch this amazing little person grow, my life only gets richer with each accomplishment.
