...a little story, about Paul and Leanne...

First, I must apologize. This post is ridiculously long. A) I'm clearly excited to dust off the blog here, and B) this shoot was all kinds of fun.

I met these two talented kids when I was trying to hunt down someone who would take my family photos using film. Some pals had used them for their wedding, I checked them out and was hooked. Paul and Leanne are the incredible married minds behind Sargeant Photography . Our family photos from the session they did for us are so so beautiful and I am filling my home with them! 

In need of some lifestyle photos themselves, they asked if I wouldn't mind returning the favor with a day in the life kind of flair. I dig (dug?) it.

I hope by browsing through these 10 million photos (only a portion of the lot...like I said, it was all kind of fun), you will see them and get to know their honest, endearing and lovely selves a little better...if so, I did my job.

Sweet Baby Jane

 I love taking photos for people I know...especially when it's to celebrate something as incredible as a new baby. Kaetlin and Scott have been waiting for baby Jane for so long, and to see them holding her, loving her and made complete by her perfect pink smallness, is a wonderful reminder of why I do what I do.  My best friend shared with me years ago a belief she has that each child picks their parents...I love that idea; and Jane, you did a fantastic job in picking ;) Love to you all!

{Sarah and Alex} July 7, 2012 Wedding Long Beach, CA

 Every once in a while I get the itch to do something a little different and stretch another photo muscle. Sarah and Alex are a darling couple and I was thrilled that they asked me to photograph their wedding this past Saturday. Here are a few images from their Engagement shoot and their wedding day. I had such a fantastic time working with them and their amazing family's! And also, a special thank you to my great friend, Charla , for shooting with me!

{Granola Babies} The amazing woman behind the store | Long Beach, CA

Last summer when I was pregnant, I stumbled upon an incredible store, Granola Babies that homes ALL things for the natural mother and child. I came home with an amazing belly balm that I used throughout my pregnancy (and was stretch mark free...so I'll thank the balm) and a wooden chew toy for my future teething babe. Since then, I have come to know the owner on a more personal level and have grown to adore the 'Granola Mama' behind this fantastic store.
